We’ve made fun of Macaroni and Cheese-like products here before, but an Arcata business has given the old favorite an upgrade in the New York Times: check out Macaroni & Fog. It may not be as quick as Easy Mac®, but the extra fifteen minutes spent in preparation would be well spent.
So, whether you prefer cavatappi, cellentani, gomito maccherone, fagiloni, elbows or bow ties, just follow the instructions, and enjoy.

It's really, really good. It's actually a little fancy, so we serve it for special occasions or when we have company. Do not omit the last little bit that requires frying little cheese disks — they complete the dish wonderfully, giving it a crisp topping.
We use Weitchpec Green Pepper sauce, another local product, instead of Tabasco — much more falvourful.

actually mac and cheese usually takes 7 min after the water boils-the good stuff is over an hour prep time. But Yes! worth every second… yummy.

tad went to jail yesterday.
Friends and supporters met to give tad hugs before he went in to the humboldt county “correctional” facility in eureka to begin his 35-day sentence. Tad started fasting on October 20 at the board of county supervisors meeting, and so is today on the sixth day of his hunger strike.

6 days of fasting huh? 6 more and he'll be ready for a bowl Mac-N-Goat.
